4-11-2011: The forth day of making the video:
Inspired by the miniature snow globe I’d made for the song :”Love”,
Aart made a snowy landscape with a lighthouse, that really worked
(a little motor made sure little mirrors circled round, to reflect the light
from a lightsource ofscreen). I went to Amsterdams West Harbor site to buy dry ice,
we could use as a chilling cold effect. If I kept the black painted surface wet with a
water dispenser during the shoot, and Aart made the fumes of the dry-ice roll over the black surface,
Jur, our camaraman could capture te illusion of an antarctic landscape, desolated and cold.
And in the midst of all this desolation, drifting on the melted ice water: a bottle. And inside
a cosy little house.
1-11-2011: The Third day of shooting:
Here is picture of this day. I guess my brother was acting a little funny
because of all the long hours we are putting into this project. We start at 9 in the morning.
Jur Oster (camera)comes to our working space. We drink coffee, and start the plans for that day’s shooting.
I think this day was the most spectacular, but also the most challenging.
Aart had the idea to do something disturbing with perspectives and horizons.
The beginning of this shot starts with a descending camera that shoots a topshot of something
the viewer can not jet comprehend. As soon as the camera approaches, the building we are looking
at flips over and opens the views up to a moonlit mountain landscape. I think it was the most demanding day,
because all the different parts of the set we built had to be moved independently.
So Jur Oster, my husband Huub, Steph, my brothers girlfriend,
Bram van de Berge and I were all in charge of one of the individual parts.
Aart is very perticular about the fact, that he wants each scene to be one shot.
This is to put it mildly challenging if each movement needs to be nsync with the next.
Especially when the movements you make have to be so smooth
because of the miniature sets we make.
Every little quiver is extremely exaggerated on film, because of the focus necessary
to make the miniatures look lifelike. I guess that’s why Aart is sort off shooting himself in the head
on this picture. That’s what an unhealthy request of patience can do to you!
26-10-2011: The second day of shooting:
We used the artwork of the CD, all the little snow-globes I made and photographed
as inspiration for the set of “To You We Sing”.
The second shoot was inspired by the mobile of a galaxy in a drop, originally
intended for a song that did not make the record,”Drop Of Rain”
but that we do plan to play in our live show.
So Huub and I made a mobile motor from the motor of a mirrorball.
Aart painted lot’s of planets, and I restored the little galaxy within the
glass bottle. The idea was that everything would be spinning,
and the viewer would get the impression of a galaxy within a galaxy.
Here are some pictures of the day

21-10-2011: The Making of “To You We Sing” music video:
This is a very ambitious project, we have set our hearts on:
Aart and I are building miniature film sets, with little white men,
and dreamy scenery’s,
and Jur Oster is filming our work, for the first single of the album
“To You We Sing”.
For the musicvideo we wanted to create the atmosphere of a world
between worlds,
alive and lifeless or timeless at the same time.
So Aart and I have been very busy with cardboard and wood and
everything we
could imagine, only limited by the fact that we had no budget
(sometimes that helpes to be more inventive).
The first set we build was a churchlike setting, with leaded lightwindows
with images you would normally not see: images of a lighthouse,
a universe and a skyline.
Corresponding with sets we were planning to build next:

Eventhough we were pretty attached to the former flash site, we figured it was time to change to a format that made it so much easier for me to keep you up to date with all the information surrounding the band, shows, music video’s and everything else that you might want to know. That’s why Liluc, my website designer helped me change the format just befor the release so that I can keep you all posted.

“Paris” New Video
My Brother Aart and I, together with Jur Oster (camera)
and Rik van den Berge (sound), made a video for the song “Paris” from the new Album ‘Move Me’.
We wanted to do something really special and create a Parisienne feel within the city of Amsterdam.
We decided to make a special one take recording, just for the movie, with barrel organ player Reinier Sijpkens
and Carillon player Boudewijn Zwart.
The story is simple:
Three people meeting each other musically in the silent sleepy city of Amsterdam at dawn, all within a little song.
We hope to share the movie with you very soon.
Here is a little sneak peak if you are curious….Some camera stills..but we can’t wait to show you the end result soon!!!
